In early July of 2019 we were sailing near the mouth of Ghost Lake when the wind kicked up to about 20 km/hr. We hadn't been down at the end of the reservoir more than a couple of times so we were quite unaware of the shoal on the North side just West of Ghost Lake Village until we discovered it, hidden beneath the whipped up surface, by running smack dab into it on a beam reach. Needless to say we were stopped quickly by the daggerboard which was chewed up quite thoroughly and the slot housing that was cracked on four sides. Fortunately we managed to limp back to the dock without sinking but the damage necessitated repairs to both board and dinghy.

Not pictured below are the repairs made to the bottom of the daggerboard well or the actual daggerboard fixes.

Tammy also took the time to make this nice pouch so we have a place to put halyards and the forward dock line.
